About the project
It began during the pandemic with the hopes to make more bio-available nutrient food for people and help farmers utilize their crops that were undergoing severe waste problems due to the economic dynamics that happened during the pandemic.
A corner store focused on ancestral preserving techniques to ensure all products on shelf remained nutritious and healthy.

This project required a rebranding to make a more cohesive statement as it transitioned from an artisanal project to having a shop and selling online.
We worked on the logo design, the packaging, the marketing assets, and the store design.

Abarrotes de la Esquina, Abarrotes=Groceries in Spanish de la Esquina = around the corner, their goal was to make a corner store with real food and healthy options for their customers.
Their lines of products were all inspired in ancestral preservation techniques from fermentation, canning, smoking, salting, dehydrating, and freezing. The idea was that through these ancestral techniques, products on shelves remained healthy and nutrient-available.
Their business model was a coop-model where they relied in local businesses, farmers, and individuals to fill their store and run it. Everyone involved would get a participation on the profit at the end of the year.

We helped Abarrotes de la Esquina define their business model and value proposition and design their coop model to invite others to join them.
We helped them with brand design, visual design, packaging design as well as designing a shop in a warehouse with limited resources.
